Superintendent: Carless Osbourn

Dr. Osbourn has worked for the Kirbyville School District for 23 years. He is honored and excited to begin his 12th year as the superintendent for the district. The first five years were spent as the Kirbyville Middle School social studies teacher, earning Middle School Teacher of the Year award in 2003-2004. Dr. Osbourn served three years as the middle school principal for grades 4th – 8th. Prior to teaching Dr. Osbourn spent 7 years as a Sergeant in the United States Army with duty in the Persian Gulf War, Germany, and several stations throughout the United States. Dr. Osbourn also coached the Kirbyville Lady Braves Basketball teams for 6 years and earned SWCL district and conference runner-up awards. Dr. Osbourn was honored in 2013-2014 as Superintendent of the Year by the Missouri K-8 School Association in recognition of his service and devotion to the education of Missouri’s students. |

Kirbyville Associate Superintendent/Middle School Counselor:Leanne West

Mrs. West has worked at Kirbyville for 24 years. She has served as a 5th grade teacher in Kansas, Kirbyville Middle School humanities teacher, Kirbyville R-VI School Counselor, and most recently as Kirbyville’s Associate Superintendent. She is the director of assessment and instruction, as well as the district’s coordinator of the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Leanne has been selected as Kirbyville Middle School’s teacher of the year as well as Branson’s teacher of the month. Mrs. West is dedicated to the success of the Kirbyville students, employees and district. |

Kirbyville Elementary Principal: Lara Ernsting

Mrs. Ernsting has worked in Kirbyville for 21 years. This is her third year as the elementary principal. She has been a classroom teacher in first, second and third grades. She earned the Elementary School Teacher of the Year award in 2004-2005 and was the MSTA Southwest Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2008. In addition to her elementary principal duties, she serves as the Curriculum Director and the district website manager. |

Kirbyville Middle School Principal: Amy Burton

Mrs. Burton has worked for the Kirbyville School District for 24 years. She has been the middle school principal for thirteen years, with the preceding nine years as the Kirbyville Middle School science teacher. She earned the Middle School Teacher of the Year award in 2004-2005 and Teacher of the Month by KRZK Radio Station in January of 2005. In addition to her middle school administrative duties, she also serves as the district coordinator for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title IX and Safety. |
