Bus Sale

The Kirbyville R-VI School District is taking sealed bids on the sale of a 2008 International DT
466 / D220 71 passenger school bus with DT 466 diesel engine, hydraulic brakes, and 142,486
miles. The school bus can be viewed anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday to
Friday. This school bus is sold as is and with no warranty expressed or implied. Sealed bids
can be submitted starting Monday, December 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. CST and continuing until
Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. CST. All sealed bids received before the deadline will
be opened at the Superintendent’s office at 11:05 a.m. CST on Friday, December 19, 2025.
District address is 6225 E. State Hwy 76, Kirbyville, MO 65679.

The Kirbyville R-VI School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, as well as
irregular proposals; and to waive informalities with such waivers being considered by the
Kirbyville R-VI School District to be in its best interest, and to conform to local laws and
ordinances pertaining to the letting of bids.

Bus Purchase

The Kirbyville R-VI School District (district) is considering the purchase of a new International 71

passenger conventional school bus (type C). The bus must meet all current emissions and safety standards

in Missouri and as required by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)

regulations. The district would consider a new International 77-passenger conventional school bus if

build and delivery date were sooner.

The minimum school bus specifications outlined by the school district are linked here. Each bidder is

asked to state on a separate document the compliance details that pertain to the unit bid. Any variance or

exception must be clearly explained.

The Kirbyville R-VI Board of Education reserves the right to accept, or reject any or all bids, as well

as irregular proposals; and to waive informalities with such waivers being considered by the Kirbyville R-

VI School District to be in its best interest, and to conform to local laws and ordinances. The district will

not do business with providers who have been suspended or debarred on a state or federal level. Bidders

must comply with Missouri state statute regarding the Anti-Discrimination Against Israel Act.
